You can record your muscle activation using our mobile app, Myontec Live, or PC software, Muscle Monitor. Download the app from App Store or Google Play, sync your Myontec smart clothing product with it and start exercising. You can purchase Muscle Monitor license at our webshop for more detailed analysis.

Yes and no. The measured signal is not due to force, the muscle has generated but from the nervous control that drives the muscle to produce the force. More specifically we can sense the amount of control that will cause the muscle to contract. Ultimately, the higher the signal the higher the force output is. However, the signal level cannot be compared directly between persons.

Myontec products measure electrical muscle activity or EMG (sEMG - surface electromyography). Electromyography (EMG) measures the electrical changes in your muscle as they contract and generate force. The more your nervous system orders your muscles to contract and produce force, the higher the electrical discharge. Hence, the EMG measures your muscles degree of activity or loading. Shortly, Myontec products measure messages from your nervous system, sent to your muscles, your muscle activity.
